FEATURE STORY

Sera Winery in Sera Yume Park

“Sera Yume Park” is the collective name for Sera Kenmin Park, where visitors can experience the nature of the Sera Plateau, and Sera Winery. Kenmin Park uses the natural terrain to create themed areas for picnics and relaxation, family sports such as ground golf, playground equipment for children, and a nature observation garden. Sera Winery is a park where visitors can enjoy dining, shopping, and tours of the winemaking facilities, with a winery using Sera-grown grapes, a wine shop, a restaurant featuring local ingredients, and Yume Kogen Market selling Sera specialties and fresh produce.

About Sera Winery

Sera Winery is located in the heart of the Sera Plateau at an elevation of approximately 400 to 500 meters. Fruit growing is widespread here, and the climate is considered well suited to orchards. Grape cultivation began alongside the winery project. Although the region's winemaking history is still relatively young, the winery and local grape growers work together to make good wine by taking full advantage of the area's climate and natural conditions.

Grape Growing

Sera Winery contracts with around 30 corporate and individual growers in Sera Town to cultivate grapes. Varieties include Honey Venus and Muscat Bailey A, as well as wine grapes such as Chardonnay and Merlot. Even within the same town and with the same variety, climate and temperature differ by vineyard site, giving the grapes from each plot their own character.

Restaurant

Enjoy Sera wine together with dishes made generously with ingredients from the Sera Plateau. The barbecue course, where you can enjoy Sera Minori beef to your heart's content, is also popular. We especially recommend menu items featuring local specialties such as eggs, vegetables, and mushrooms.
