Our brewery is located in Oasa, Kitahiroshima Town, about 40 kilometers north of Hiroshima City.
Near the border with Shimane Prefecture and at a high elevation, the town is home to four ski areas.
It is also one of the prefecture’s leading rice-growing areas and is blessed with good water, making it a place long known for producing excellent sake.
While growing grapes suited to the local climate and terroir, centered on Shokoshi and Yama Sauvignon, we aim to make rustic, straightforward wines that pair well with game dishes, miso, and soy sauce. Put another way, this is “grape wine” more at home with Japanese cuisine than Western food, and in a tumbler than a wine glass. Our goal is wine that complements Japanese cuisine.
