About
Fukuyama has long been an active grape-growing area, with a particularly strong history of Muscat Bailey A cultivation. These grapes were traditionally grown mainly for the table, but after Fukuyama Wine Kobo was established, local farmers also began growing grapes specifically for winemaking.
The winery meets with growers every year, working together to improve grape quality for wine production. It has also been developing its own vineyard little by little each year since 2014 and now cultivates four varieties across approximately 0.7 hectares.
