Japan’s first Kyoho wine.\n\nKyoho Wine was born in 1972 from a commitment to making wine from 100% Kyoho grapes, once considered difficult to vinify. Inspired by Hiroyuki Hayashida, the 12th-generation head of Wakatakeya Brewery, who worked with local farmers to cultivate Kyoho grapes in Tanushimaru, 13th-generation head Denbei Hayashida spent about ten years developing the wine.

As winemakers, nothing makes us happier than offering freshly made fruit wines at a winery surrounded by trees and birdsong. After entering the grounds through the woods, a walking trail lies to the right and the winery buildings to the left. A short climb along the stone path leads to a plaza with a spring-fed pond. MINOU, where you can taste seasonal wines made at the winery, is located on the left.\n\nHours: 9:00–17:00\n\nClosed: Year-end and New Year holidays

HEURIGE was created from a desire to let guests enjoy our fruit wines together with local ingredients. House wines available only here are served in a casual café-restaurant beside the winery. It is a place for meals, conversation, and views across our own farm and the landscape beyond. The warm interior of wood and plaster, together with terrace seating, creates an inviting atmosphere.\n\nLunch: from 11:00 (last order 15:00)\nCafé: from 14:00 (last order 16:00)\n\nClosed: March–November, Tuesdays and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays; December–February, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; year-end and New Year holidays.
