ABOUT
“Watarise” is written with the Japanese characters meaning a crossing in a shallow stream.
It is the name of the place where our winery stands: Watarise, Arige, Wakamatsu Ward, Kitakyushu City. We chose the local place name to express that our wines are made from grapes grown here in Watarise. The winery is a small, family-run operation managed by a farming family that has cultivated this land for generations.
