ABOUT

Liaison: wine that connects the gifts of the earth with emotion.

Liaison means “to link” or “to connect” in French.

To deliver safe, trustworthy, high-quality wine, we handle grape cultivation, harvest and vinification ourselves from beginning to end.

We entrust that intention to the name Liaison and deliver the wine directly from our hands.

FEATURE STORY

Features

To deliver high-quality wines that customers can enjoy with confidence, we place importance on local production and trusted growers. Grapes are purchased directly from producers, and every stage—from vinification and bottling to storage and sales—is carried out consistently in a clean, carefully managed winery environment with a strong focus on fundamental quality control.

Grapes

Our grapes come from our own vineyards and from contracted growers. Grape quality naturally varies from year to year, and we adapt our winemaking to bring out the best expression of each vintage.

Facility & Winemaking

We place great importance on hygiene throughout the winery and on the sanitary management of equipment in order to maintain a reliable production system. In winemaking, additives are kept to a minimum so that the natural character of the grapes can be expressed. Fermentation uses selected cultured dry yeast, while fermentation and storage temperatures are controlled as carefully as possible, supported by many years of practical experience.

Future

With the legal framework for Japanese wine now established, Liaison Wine continues the approach it has followed since its founding: making wine from grapes grown in Yamanashi Prefecture. With Koshu and Muscat Bailey A now formally recognized within Japan’s wine regulations, we aim to promote Japanese wine with even greater responsibility and commitment. We will continue working so that Yamanashi remains a leading grape-growing region and so that Liaison Wine can grow together with it.
