奥尻ワイナリー (Okushiri Winery)

In 2008, the production facility for Okushiri winery was completed, and full-scale winemaking began. Taking great care with each step of the process, we are dedicated to crafting delicious wine that is gentle on the body. While exploring cultivation methods suited to the land of Okushiri, we aim to enhance its potential.

In the world of wine, there is said to be a tendency to seek terroir—wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the land and the distinct personality of the winemaker. The grapes grown in the sea breezes of the Sea of Japan are rich in minerals, and when made into wine, a scent of the sea emerges in the finish, so it can be said that Okushiri wine is thoroughly infused with terroir. We are devoting all our efforts to winemaking with our sights set 100 and 200 years into the future.
