Here are the details.
About "Far Yeast Grapevine 2024"
"Far Yeast Grapevine 2024" is a craft beer born out of a collaboration between Mercian Viticole Katsunuma Co., Ltd. and Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd.
A total of 540 kg of two grape varieties—thinned "Syrah" and "Muscat Bailey A" grapes from "Château Mercian Katsunuma Winery"—were used to brew 3,000 L of the product.
About the Contents
In "Far Yeast Grapevine 2024", you can reportedly enjoy black pepper-like nuances found in "Syrah" alongside the spicy aroma that is one of the hallmarks of saison yeast.
Furthermore, focusing on the "maceration" winemaking technique used in red wine production where grape skins are soaked in fermenting wine, the skins of "Syrah" and "Muscat Bailey A" were steeped in the fermenting beer, extracting the flavors inherent in the grapes to the fullest.
In addition, by adding a small amount of Brettanomyces yeast during fermentation, a distinctive fruity aroma with nuances of cherry and plum was introduced.
While offering the crisp mouthfeel unique to a saison, it is finished as a special beer where you can enjoy a complex flavor wrapped in spicy and fruity aromas.
This is a bottle of great interest to Japanese wine fans as well.
Be sure to check it out.
