Since establishing its predecessor, the nonprofit Japan Care-Fit Service Association, in November 1999, the organization has worked to build systems capable of responding to Japan’s rapidly aging society.\n\nIn particular, its Service Care-Fitter program, which teaches both a spirit of hospitality and safe assistance techniques, has been embraced by many companies and members of the public. The organization was established with the aim of helping create a society in which older people, people living with disabilities, and anyone else who may need assistance can go out with confidence.\n\nIn December 2013, it received public-interest authorization from the Prime Minister and began a new chapter as the Japan Care-Fit Education Institute, a public interest incorporated foundation.\n\nIt also produces and sells additive-free wine using fresh, locally grown agricultural products.
