◆ Sandy Soil That Produces Outstanding Wine
The soil here is sandy, reminiscent of a beach. This unusual soil is exactly why we gathered in this place. Extremely low in nutrients and highly free-draining, it gives the wines delicate flavors and vivid aromas.
◆ Benefits Brought by the Sea
Located just 1.5 km from the coast, the site receives winds from the sea during the day and from the land at night, helping reduce humidity, one of grapes' greatest enemies. The rainy season is also short, and in many years rainfall is very low during the grape-ripening period.
◆ Continuing the Search for the Best-Suited Varieties
Beginning with Albariño, a white grape variety from Spain, we continue experimenting with many varieties in search of those best suited to expressing the character of this sandy soil.
