Iwanohara Vineyard tells the story of more than a century of Japanese wine history.

Founder Zenbei Kawakami, known as the father of Japanese wine grapes, opened vineyards and began making wine in this deeply snowy land of Joetsu.

The cool air of the stone cellars, which still evokes the work of earlier days,

continues to convey both the dignity created by that long passage of time and an endless passion for making wines of the highest quality.
