ドメーヌタカヒコ (Domaine Takahiko)

I am drawn to wines that are delicate—light, even—yet have depth, breadth and a lingering finish.

What I seek in wine is something akin to the world of a finely made dashi broth.

To express such a wine in Japan,

I believe Pinot Noir grown in well-drained volcanic soils, in a climate with a moderate amount of rainfall, is essential.

And not in a warm region, but in a cool-climate area...

I believe other varieties may also hold possibilities, but

I am not dexterous enough to work with many varieties.

So I want to devote my life solely to Pinot Noir and continue searching for that ideal world.
