"A Wine and Culinary Journey Woven from the Blessings of Shinshu Vol. 2" is a collaborative event between Restaurant Kei, where guests enjoy Shinshu-style French cuisine and wine, and Château Mercian Mariko Winery.
This day tour is designed to savor wine and food from Shinshu and explore their charms.
Luxurious Program
The day of "A Wine and Culinary Journey Woven from the Blessings of Shinshu Vol. 2" starts at Château Mercian Mariko Winery with a winery tour including a tasting (approx. 90 minutes).
Looking out across the vineyard, the vines are lush with green leaves, the grape clusters that will become wine are growing, and depending on the variety, veraison is beginning, offering a beautiful vineyard landscape to behold.
Furthermore, being situated atop a small hill, it is especially pleasant on sunny days, allowing you to fully experience the refreshing, quintessential scenery of Shinshu.
After the tour, guests will travel by bus to Restaurant Kei in Kakeyu Onsen to enjoy a maker's dinner.
It is the ultimate "Shinshu mariage," savoring course dishes that boldly arrange rare Shinshu-produced ingredients alongside a Mariko pairing course (7 types) selected by the head of Mariko Winery.
The dining style for the day is a luxurious experience, enjoying the meal while listening to introductions of the pairing wines by the head of Mariko Winery.
