Barrel Art This Year, Too! Nakaizu Winery Château T.S to Hold Its Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Festival on September 1

On Wednesday, September 1, the “Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Festival” will be held at Nakaizu Winery Château T.S, operated by Shidax Nakaizu Winery Hills Co., Ltd.

This winery-only event celebrates and gives thanks for the grapes that have been carefully nurtured over the course of a year.

About the “Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Festival”

The “Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Festival” will be held at Nakaizu Winery Château T.S.

At the 2026 harvest festival, a new initiative called “Barrel Art” will transform old barrels once used for winemaking into works of art.

A variety of seasonal programs are also planned, including hands-on wine-grape harvesting, making freshly pressed juice, observing winemaking preparation work, and tasting wine in the barrel cellar.

A Moment to Enjoy Wine and Art

The “Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Festival” will feature opportunities to compare wines and grapes, a tasting set of three award-winning wines, and programs combining a harvest experience with freshly pressed juice.

Among them, the highlight is “Barrel Art.”

At Nakaizu Winery, artists will paint directly onto the surfaces of old wooden barrels using brushes and spray paint.

The works will make use of the barrels’ rounded forms and wood grain to express the scenery and stories of Nakaizu.

A variety of additional programs led by the artists are also planned.

“Growing grapes,” “harvesting,” “making wine,” and “aging it in barrels”—why not experience the entire story woven at the winery, from vineyard to winemaking and then to art, through all five senses?
