Château Mercian carried out the sixth year of its donation campaign, “Support the Future of Japanese Wine!”, from Sunday, October 1 through Friday, November 10.
A portion of sales was donated to five organizations across four prefectures that produce wine grapes.
Here are the details.
About “Support the Future of Japanese Wine!”
“Support the Future of Japanese Wine!” is a donation campaign that supports activities in regions producing wine grapes for Japanese wines such as Château Mercian.
For every bottle sold of Château Mercian's “Nihon no Awa,” “Wine Made from Omori Grapes,” and “Aizumisato Chardonnay,” 10 yen was contributed to activities in the regions that make wine or supply the grapes.
Recipients, Amounts, and Support
Through this campaign, 182,000 yen was donated to organizations and local governments in each of Yamanashi, Nagano, Fukushima, and Akita prefectures, where Château Mercian has company-managed and contracted vineyards, for a total of 728,000 yen.
Under its wine-business slogan, “Creating a Delicious Future for Wine,” the company says it will continue proposing ways for people to enjoy connections with one another through rich moments with wine.
