All 5 Varieties of Nouveau Wines Are Now on Sale from "Chateau Jun"!

Nouveau wines have been released from "Chateau Jun," a winery directly managed by Jun Co., Ltd., starting on the release date of "Yamanashi Nouveau," November 3 (Thursday, national holiday).

There are 5 varieties of nouveau wines in total: Koshu, Muscat Bailey A, Delaware, Rosé, and Adirondac.

Here are the details.

About "Yamanashi Nouveau"

"Yamanashi Nouveau" refers to nouveau wines made from Koshu (white wine) and Muscat Bailey A (red wine) harvested and vinified in Yamanashi Prefecture, with November 3 established every year as the release date.

Chateau Jun has released a total of 5 varieties, including the "Yamanashi Nouveau" grape varieties Koshu and Muscat Bailey A, as well as Delaware, Rosé, and Adirondac.

Made from grapes harvested in Yamanashi Prefecture in 2022, every nouveau wine offers a fresh and fruity flavor.

With slightly lower alcohol content than usual wines of the same varieties and finished in a sweet style, they are said to be approachable wines even for those who are not strong drinkers.

Chateau Jun 2022 Nouveau Lineup

Here is the Chateau Jun 2022 nouveau lineup.

・ Koshu, Sweet: 1,980 yen (tax included)
・ Muscat Bailey A, Dry: 1,980 yen (tax included)
・ Delaware, Sweet: 1,980 yen (tax included)
・ Kyoho & Pione Rosé, Sweet
・ Adirondac, Sweet: 2,200 yen (tax included)

While all of them are attractive nouveau wines, Adirondac is particularly typical of Yamanashi.

Characterized by an intense, sweet cotton-candy-like aroma, it is crafted into a wine with bright tones tinged with purple.

Because its sweetness is well harmonized, you can enjoy pairing it with sukiyaki, as well as Japanese sweets such as yokan and anko (red bean paste).

There must be many people looking forward to "Yamanashi Nouveau" every year.
