Chateau Jun is releasing wines with original labels and flavor profiles inspired by popular horses at Versailles Resort Farm.
The wines arrive just in time for the Year of the Horse.

About the Original Labels
The original-label wines released by Chateau Jun are designed around three popular horses at Versailles Resort Farm, a retirement farm for racehorses in Hidaka, Hokkaido: Oju Chosan, Tanino Gimlet and Eishin Flash.
Versailles Resort Farm is one of Japan's leading farms for renowned retired racehorses. Under the philosophy of “toward a future where they are not called retired horses,” it supports the second and third lives of horses after their racing and stallion careers.
For next year's Year of the Horse, the wines feature special labels depicting these famous horses.
About the Lineup
The wines being released are as follows.
Chardonnay Sparkling 2023 Oju Chosan
A powerful, well-structured Chardonnay aged in barrel for a long 20 months. Alongside lively bubbles, it offers rich roasted-nut notes and a sense of strength derived from the grapes.

Marselan 2019 Tanino Gimlet
Aged for one year each in enamel tank and wooden barrel. Beginning with bitter spice reminiscent of a sharp gaze, layers of aroma and flavor unfold one after another in a complex, deep and weighty red wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 Eishin Flash
Aromas show nuances of cassis and cedar, while the clear red-purple color gives a vivid impression. A flash-like sharp acidity has rounded with age and gained savory depth, producing an elegant red wine with dimension.
