Manns Wines Releases "Solaris Komoro Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2025" Made from Grapes Over 35 Years Old!

Manns Wines Co., Ltd. released "Solaris Komoro Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2025," crafted from vines over 35 years old, on October 23.

It is a Chardonnay that expresses the terroir of Komoro and the unique character of old vines.

Solaris Komoro Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2025

"Solaris Komoro Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2025" uses Chardonnay harvested from an approximately 30-are vineyard located within Komoro Winery.

The entire process, from grape cultivation to winemaking, is consistently managed in compliance with national Organic JAS standards.

In the vineyard, yields are strictly limited to pursue the highest grape quality.

Following harvest and vinification, it is fermented and aged in oak barrels, creating a concentrated, full-bodied wine where a moderate oak aroma layers gracefully over the inherent fruit flavors of the grapes.

About the Wine

The appearance is a clear, brilliant yellow tinged with gold.

Subtle beige tones extend from the center to the rim, offering a calm, composed hue evocative of the concentration and high maturity derived from old vines.

From the moment it is poured into the glass, the nose reveals rich aromas of yellow fruits such as yellow peach, pear, and apricot.

Subsequently, nuanced notes of vanilla, toast, and nuts from barrel aging layer together, imparting depth to the bouquet.

Furthermore, an aroma reminiscent of grapefruit compote serves as an accent, bringing together elements of fruit and oak.

On the palate, the solid concentration of yellow fruit matches the impression of the aroma, unfolding with the dense texture characteristic of old vines.

Creaminess and subtle smokiness derived from the barrels lend roundness and dimension to the flavor, striking an outstanding balance with the fruitiness.

The finish leaves a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit peel, tightening the aftertaste as it lingers on.

Roast chicken seasoned with herbs is recommended for pairing.
