It has been more than 40 years since we began winemaking here in Echigo Uonuma, an area buried under 3 meters of snow from early winter until spring plowing the following year. We succeeded in trellis grape cultivation in this mountainous, heavy snowfall region, nurturing wines that have earned high acclaim even from professionals. The root of winemaking is agriculture. It could be called a 1.5-order industry that adds human skill and wisdom through vinification to agricultural produce. Based on the concept that 'good wine comes from good wine grapes,' we continue to take on challenges every day in cooperation with local farmers, aiming to craft even more delicious wines.
