Located in Shiwa Town, south of Morioka City in Iwate Prefecture, Jien Jijo Wine Shiwa produces wine in the 'jien jijo' style—using high-quality grapes grown by local farmers ('jien') and vinifying them at the winery within the town ('jijo'). Jien Jijo Wine Shiwa winery began with the passion for winemaking held by the farmers of Shiwa Town who had been involved in grape cultivation for many years. What we strive for is Japanese wine that allows you to experience the land of Iwate Shiwa. From cultivation to vinification and aging, we take great care in every step to deliver wine rooted in this land.
