we use neither imported wine liquids nor table grapes,

and surround the winery itself with vineyards devoted to wine grapes.

There is a spacious underground production and storage area rationally arranged for long aging, a restaurant overlooking the entire property,

a tasting counter facing the distant mountains of Sapporo and Otaru,

a large Western-style garden surrounding the buildings,

and extensive wine-grape vineyards laid out around everything.

Recently two women visiting from Napa, California, spent a long time talking with us and said, “It feels just like Napa.”
