Enjoy Japanese wine pairings, too! On September 17, Sanso Kyoyamato and Park Hyatt Kyoto will host a one-night-only dinner event, "Kangetsu no Yube"!

On Tuesday, September 17, the night of the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon, Sanso Kyoyamato and Park Hyatt Kyoto will host a one-night-only dinner event, "Kangetsu no Yube".

Pairings with Japanese wine will also be served alongside the five-course Japanese-Western fusion dinner.

Let's take a look at the details.

About "Kangetsu no Yube"

"Kangetsu no Yube" is a special, one-night-only dinner event where guests can spend a magical autumn evening woven together by Japanese-Western fusion course cuisine, performances by geiko and maiko, and a Noh dance set against historic architecture.

It was also held last year and reportedly received great acclaim.

First, in the banquet hall "KOMOREBI" at Park Hyatt Kyoto, guests will savor Japanese-Western fusion course cuisine prepared with seasonal ingredients carefully selected by Kyoyamato's Executive Chef Mitsuo Nakajima and Park Hyatt Kyoto's Executive Chef Tsuyoshi Iryo, all while enjoying the dances of geiko and maiko.

Afterward, the plan is to enjoy moon viewing with traditional Japanese sweets and matcha in the preserved garden of Sanso Kyoyamato while listening to the sounds of the koto.

A course to enjoy with Japanese wine

The five-course Japanese-Western fusion meal comes complete with alcoholic beverage pairings.

Guests can savor exquisite dishes starting from Sanso Kyoyamato's beautiful appetizer, followed by wanmori (soup), John Dory Wellington with vin blanc sauce, Omi beef tenderloin with pumpkin gnocchi and apple chutney, and chestnut and cassis pavlova with fig and yuzu.

For the appetizer, Yoshi Sparkling Chardonnay from Takahata Winery will make an appearance.

For the soup dish, Tsuki no Katsura Blanche from Masuda Tokubee Shoten will be served.

With the John Dory Wellington with vin blanc sauce, Kisvin Koshu from Kisvin Winery will be poured.

Guests can enjoy Japanese wine pairings including Kikuka Chardonnay from Kikuka Winery for the Omi beef tenderloin with pumpkin gnocchi and apple chutney, and Kindoku Wine Cabernet Franc from Kawachi Wine for the chestnut and cassis pavlova with fig and yuzu.

Why not experience an exquisite evening on the night of the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon?
