"Shinshu Wine Week" will be held at "THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota" from Friday, September 15 to Friday, September 22.
Furthermore, exclusively on Friday, September 15 and Friday, September 22, sales have also begun for a plan to visit "Château Mercian Mariko Winery" with a sommelier to enjoy a harvest experience and tasting.
Here are the details.
About "Shinshu Wine Week"
"Shinshu Wine Week" is an initiative held every three months, born from the desire to introduce more people to the charms of Nagano wines, beginning with the Chikuma River Wine Valley.
The eight sommeliers of "THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota" carefully select wines that achieve the finest pairings with the chef's cuisine, savoring the bounties of this land.
The level is so high that it has become a popular event, even earning praise from wine lovers who attended past "Shinshu Wine Week" events saying, in the best possible way, "It's hard to believe this is Japanese wine."
About the 6th "Shinshu Wine Week"
This marks the 6th edition of "Shinshu Wine Week" held at "THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota."
An accommodation plan featuring pairings centered around Chikuma River Wine Valley labels along with sake from Saku City is available to accompany dinner at the French restaurant "Le Grand Lys."
Furthermore, exclusively for the two days of Friday, September 15 and Friday, September 22, an accommodation plan with a tour (including French or Italian dinner and breakfast) is also offered, where guests visit "Château Mercian Mariko Winery" with a sommelier to enjoy a harvest experience and tasting.
Guests can reportedly taste exclusive wines available only at Mariko Winery as well as gem wines that Château Mercian takes pride in, accompanied by commentary from the winery director.
Nagano wine has been drawing immense attention in recent years.
