Mercian Corporation plans to open its first antenna shop, “Château Mercian Wine Shop Karuizawa,” in Kita-Saku District, Nagano Prefecture.
The store is scheduled to open in March 2026 inside Karuizawa T-SITE, a new commercial facility directly connected to Karuizawa Station.
Here are the details.
About the Antenna Shop
Château Mercian operates Château Mercian Mariko Winery in Ueda and Château Mercian Kikyogahara Winery in Shiojiri, both in Nagano Prefecture.
By opening an antenna shop in Karuizawa, the company aims not only to communicate the appeal of Château Mercian but also to contribute to revitalizing Nagano, one of its production regions.
About Château Mercian Wine Shop Karuizawa
The shop is designed as a gateway to the winery, built around the concept of a “wine experience.”
It aims to create a multisensory space that inspires visitors to think, “I want to visit the winery” or “I want to try Château Mercian.”
A tasting counter and large video screen will let visitors taste wine while viewing seasonal changes at the winery, grape growth, and scenes from winemaking.
Talk events with winemakers, seminars, and other programs are also planned, creating experiences intended to encourage guests to visit the wineries themselves.
Why not visit when the shop opens?
