About "Saving the Seas and the Land! Japan's Challengers"
"Saving the Seas and the Land! Japan's Challengers" is part of the "JAPAN Project" series, which searches for "seeds of hope" that illuminate the future through Japan's unsung challengers.
The first installment, broadcast in April, shed light on "Japanese Food" and "Monozukuri (Manufacturing)", and this will be the second installment.
Focusing on challengers who are saving the seas and the land, the program will feature actor Fumi Nikaido visiting Kenya in Africa where wildlife thrives, a segment on the challenge of transforming "troublesome sea urchins" into "exquisite sea urchins," and the challenge of Château Mercian taking on the world with "superb wine."
About the Broadcast
One of the segments to be broadcast this time is "The 'Miracle' Vineyard Reviving the Land! Taking on the World with 'Superb Wine'".
It will feature Château Mercian, which revives abandoned farmland into vineyards and produces wine.
The story of Japanese wine's challenge to hold its own against the world will be shown.
Be sure to check it out.
