"Six Cloves" is a winery owned by Sonoe Hirabayashi.
While working for a Japanese trading firm in New York, she was captivated by the charm of wine and decided to become a winemaker, completing her studies and graduating from the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis in 2011.
After training at cult wineries in Napa Valley and other regions, she established "Six Cloves" in 2018.
With the conviction of "making full use of accumulated experience and knowledge, always striving for winemaking that maximizes the inherent individuality and potential of grapes, and delivering unique wines rich in originality to many drinkers," the wines crafted by Japanese female winemaker Hirabayashi in California are garnering great attention.
