On Sunday, November 1, 2026, "2025 Asagarano Minori," a collaboration between a Shiga Prefecture winery and six hotels, will be released in limited quantities.
This is the 18th installment of the popular project, featuring original blends crafted by hotel sommeliers.
About the Project
This project was launched in 2008 by six hotels in Shiga Prefecture with the aim of promoting the charms of Shiga Prefecture through engagement with the local community, and is now celebrating its 18th edition.
Set at Ritto Winery, using grapes carefully cultivated in its own vineyards, sommeliers from the six hotels gathered together to pursue pairings with a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines.
Through numerous blending trials, they completed both red and white wines.
They hope that by enjoying the original wines made from grapes grown in Shiga Prefecture alongside dishes served at each hotel, it will serve as an opportunity for guests to experience the culinary richness of Shiga.
"2025 Asagarano Minori"
"2025 Asagarano Minori" is an original wine blended by sommeliers from the six hotels.
The red wine is blended in a ratio of 80% Muscat Bailey A from 2025, 10% Yama Sauvignon, and 10% oak-aged Almonoir, while the white wine blends 50% Chardonnay from the same 2025 vintage, 30% Sémillon VV, and 20% Red Millennium. Both the red and white wines use 100% Shiga Prefecture grapes harvested from the estate vineyard.
