About the tie-up project
"2021 Asagarano Minori" is the 14th installment of an original wine project using Shiga Prefecture grapes blended by hotel sommeliers.
This project was launched in 2008 with the aim of communicating the new charms of Shiga Prefecture through community engagement by seven hotels located within Shiga Prefecture and nestled around Mt. Hiei.
For "2021 Asagarano Minori," sommeliers from each hotel gathered to repeatedly blend wines made from grapes grown in estate vineyards by Ohta Shuzo Co., Ltd. Ritto Winery—which has focused on cultivating soils suitable for viticulture and released numerous wines into the world—to suit customers' preferences and pair well with cuisine, creating an original wine.
Overview of "2021 Asagarano “Minori”"
The "2021 Asagarano “Minori”" released this time comes in two varieties: red and white.
The red wine is a blend of 55% barrel-aged base wine made from 2021 Yama Sauvignon and 45% barrel-aged Muscat Bailey A.
The white wine is finished by blending 40% Semillon (young vines), 35% Semillon (old vines), 20% Chardonnay, and 5% Delaware and Sunny Rouge, also from the 2021 vintage.
Both red and white wines use 100% estate-grown grapes harvested in Shiga Prefecture.
They are original wines blended by sommeliers from seven hotels located in Shiga Prefecture and nestled around Mt. Hiei.

"2021 Asagarano “Minori”" is limited to a total of 1,300 bottles: 600 bottles of red wine and 700 bottles of white wine.
At restaurants, it is available for ¥7,000 per bottle (750ml) and ¥1,000 per glass.
