Suntory Holdings Limited continues to create a wide variety of products, starting with high-quality Japanese wine.
The company has been implementing "FRONTIER DOJO," an in-house program in which employees take on the challenge of creating new businesses, since 2021.
Currently, the second-term program is reportedly underway.

About "FRONTIER DOJO"
"FRONTIER DOJO" is an internal program where Suntory Group employees take on the challenge of creating new businesses.
Inheriting the founding spirit symbolized by founder Shinjiro Torii's words "Yatteminahare" (Go for it), the company has continued to achieve growth by persistently taking on the challenge of creating new value without being bound by preconceived notions or fearing failure.
By actively supporting employees with an enterprising spirit and further reinforcing an organizational culture that embodies "Yatteminahare," this program was established with the aim of achieving further corporate growth in an ever-changing world.
Wine Is Also Affected
"FRONTIER DOJO" is a system where employees draft and submit ideas for new businesses and refine them through mentoring from external entrepreneurs and other support.
Employees who submit entries are certified as "White Belts" at that stage, and as they pass through selections, they are promoted to "Brown Belts" and "Black Belts."
Employees who pass the final selection are recognized with "Menkyo Kaiden" (full mastery) and commercialize their projects with the support of the FRONTIER DOJO Secretariat and external organizations.
As mentioned at the beginning, the second-term program of this in-house system is underway, but among the projects ongoing from the first term, wine-related results also appear to be emerging.
