Higashine Fruit Wine Launches Sales of La France Wine Made from Higashine, Yamagata-grown La France on "CAMPFIRE"!

In Japan, a variety of wines are also produced from fruits other than grapes.

On September 1, Higashine Fruit Wine LLC launched sales of its La France wine made from La France pears grown in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture, on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE."

Here are the details.

About Higashine Fruit Wine LLC

Higashine City, where Higashine Fruit Wine LLC is located, is a thriving production area for La France European pears.

In addition to grape wines, the company is a popular winery that meticulously crafts specialty wines from fruits produced within Higashine City.

About the La France Wine

Higashine City ranks second nationwide in La France cultivation area, following Tendo City.

Higashine Fruit Wine LLC has produced wine using La France, a specialty of Higashine City, and has launched its sales on "CAMPFIRE."

Brewing La France is said to be difficult, but through repeated trials, the La France wine brewed in December last year was successfully made under the optimal conditions mentioned above.

Currently, it is aging with tanks maintained at 20–22°C, producing a slightly sweet still wine and a sparkling wine (semi-sparkling) infused with carbon dioxide.

It pairs well with aperitifs and fish dishes, and reportedly also finishes nicely to match desserts.
