Yamagata Prefecture winery "GRAPE REPUBLIC" has released the cider "Nanyo Cider 2022."
Made using "La France" pears and "Fuji" apples, specialties of Nanyo City in Yamagata Prefecture, it is said to be a cider with a dry, solid core of flavor and the gorgeous aroma of La France pears.

Nanyo City, where "GRAPE REPUBLIC" is located, is one of the premier fruit-growing regions in Yamagata, the "Fruit Kingdom."
Along with grapes, it is very famous for cherries, apples, and "La France" European pears.
The development of Nanyo Cider began with the desire to help support the apple and La France pear farmers who make up a primary industry in Nanyo City.
It is a sparkling cider made by adding La France pears to Fuji apples grown in Nanyo City. The fruit is purchased from five local farmers using non-standard table Fuji apples and La France pears that cannot be distributed through conventional markets, making it a 100% Nanyo City-grown cider.

"Nanyo Cider 2022" can be called their greatest masterpiece ever, born from a golden ratio reached after five years of trial and error.
The gorgeous aroma characteristic of La France pears combines with the gentle acidity and umami of Fuji apples to create depth and a solid core, resulting in a cider that offers great dimension while remaining dry.
This cider is being released simultaneously in a 750 ml bottle size identical to a wine bottle, as well as a 330 ml steinie bottle size.
Because the steinie bottle can be casually enjoyed straight from the bottle without needing a glass, it can also be easily enjoyed outdoors or at events.
