About "NAGANO WINE Discovery"
"NAGANO WINE Discovery" is presented by Karuizawa Marriott Hotel.
This popular initiative delivers wines each season that express the unique characteristics of their terroir and vintage, accompanied by the passion of the vigneron (winegrower/winemaker).
In 2023, sommeliers will introduce Shinshu wines, which have been garnering increasing attention in recent years, by shining a spotlight on the four wine valleys Shinshu takes pride in.
Spring, marking the first installment of 2023, focuses on the Nihon Alps Wine Valley, which spreads across Azumino, said to be the birthplace of grape cultivation in Nagano Prefecture.
Among the wine valleys with a long history of grape cultivation, wines from "Domaine Hiroki"—an up-and-coming winery crafting wines rooted in the Azumino land—will be featured.
