"NAGANO WINE Discovery" is a series where guests can enjoy three wines by the glass personally selected by Karuizawa Marriott Hotel sommelier Mr. Matoba, focusing on NAGANO WINE produced in Nagano Prefecture where Karuizawa is located.
Delivering wines that express the unique individuality of the land and vintage alongside the passion of the vignerons (grapegrowers and winemakers), this series—curated from various perspectives each season—has been well-received.
About "NAGANO WINE Discovery 2024 ~Spring~"
For the first installment, spring, wines featuring fresh and charming aromas such as berries and other red fruits as well as citrus are offered.

In particular, "ENSEMBLE ROUGE 2020" from "Cave Hatano," crafted to preserve the grape's natural, overflowing fruitiness, is said to reveal a variety of flavors and expressions depending on the situation and paired dishes.
In spring and summer, the natural aromas of grapes evoking plants and fruits; in autumn, aromas derived from brewing and fermentation like nuts and candy; in winter, aromas derived from aging and oxidation such as mushrooms, fallen leaves, and dried fruit.
