Shibuya Winery Tokyo Offers an Ultra-Early New “Additive-Free Wine” in Advance

Swimmy Japan Co., Ltd., operator of Shibuya Winery Tokyo, has begun serving a cloudy wine just one month after fermentation was completed.

The fresh and pure Sauvignon Blanc is being offered as an “additive-free wine.”

Here are the details.

About the Cloudy Wine Offering

The wine now being served is an “additive-free wine” made from fresh, pure Sauvignon Blanc from the first harvest of 2024.

Wanting visitors to experience the aroma of the newly finished wine as soon as possible, the winery released it in advance by the glass for on-premise service only.

About the “Additive-Free Wine”

The “additive-free wine” is made with high-quality grapes shipped directly from carefully selected vineyards in Australia and uses the winemaking techniques of an urban winery to emphasize the grapes' natural flavors.

This year's Sauvignon Blanc is said to be particularly fresh, with a fruity aroma.

Because no additives are used at any stage of production, the wine has a slightly cloudy appearance.

This natural cloudiness itself symbolizes the freshness and vitality of the new wine, and each sip fills the mouth with rich flavor.

It can also be enjoyed casually as a takeaway wine, so consider checking it out if you are nearby.
