Mikasa Kaikan Co., Ltd. has produced just 575 bottles of a completely original wine, “Mikasa Kaikan 100th Anniversary Wine,” to commemorate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
The wine will be unveiled at the special “100th Anniversary WINE DINNER” courses to be held on Sunday, June 15 and Monday, June 16, 2025.

About “Mikasa Kaikan 100th Anniversary Wine”
“Mikasa Kaikan 100th Anniversary Wine” was made at Domaine KOSEI, a winery in the Kataoka district of Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture.
Domaine KOSEI is the namesake winery of Kosei Mimura, a Merlot specialist who has produced numerous distinguished wines. The winery specializes in growing Merlot and aims to produce wine of the highest quality in Japan.
The project took approximately five years from initial planning. Many Mikasa Kaikan staff members regularly traveled to Shiojiri, Nagano, taking part in grape growing and winemaking to bring the wine to completion.
Unveiling
“Mikasa Kaikan 100th Anniversary Wine” is scheduled to make its debut at the special “100th Anniversary WINE DINNER” on Sunday, June 15 and Monday, June 16.
The event promises a luxurious evening, with chefs and managers from six Mikasa Kaikan restaurants in Ginza jointly creating the course menu.
The wine is based on unfiltered KATAOKA Merlot and was aged for 12 months in two blended oak barriques.
Production is limited to 575 bottles—the equivalent of two barrels—making it an exceptionally rare wine.
