“Château Mercian Koshu Amicis 2024” will go on sale nationwide starting Tuesday, April 8.
The wine is the third product from the Pacific Link Project, a collaborative initiative in which Mercian Corporation and Viña Concha y Toro work together to create wines.

“Château Mercian Koshu Amicis 2024” is made to preserve the character of Koshu, a grape variety indigenous to Japan, while working with Concha y Toro to create a style that is also approachable for overseas consumers.
Focusing on the recent Japanese food-and-beverage flavor trend of “umami + lingering finish,” the wine builds on the first release, “Château Mercian Iwade Koshu Amicis 2022,” adding greater complexity and depth while achieving a balance between mellow Japanese-citrus flavors and pleasant acidity.
About the wine
“Château Mercian Koshu Amicis 2024” makes the most of Koshu’s characteristic clean citrus aroma by blending several types of base wine from carefully selected vineyard parcels to bring out the grape’s appeal even further.
The finished wine is said to balance mellow Japanese-citrus flavors reminiscent of mikan and kumquat with refreshing acidity.
