Attention Japanese wine fans! MARO Wines in Hokkaido releases its first wine!

Starting January 30, sales of the very first wine from MARO Wines have begun.

This marks the winery's first-ever wine release.

Here are the details.

Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir red grapes grown in Yoichi, Hokkaido

MARO Wines is a winery in Hokkaido led by winemaker Naoyuki Maro.

The wine being released for the first time is a visually beautiful Blanc de Noirs made using Pinot Noir, a red grape from Yoichi, Hokkaido.

"Blanc de Noirs" refers to wine made from red grapes using white winemaking methods; while it is well-known as a technique typically used when making Champagne, this wine was crafted as a still wine.

"pinot noir2022, Blanc de Noir"

The wine released this time is "pinot noir2022, Blanc de Noir".

Visually, it displays a lovely, slightly orange-tinged hue like an apricot, and while it is as light on the palate as a white wine, you can enjoy the gorgeous aroma inherent to Pinot Noir along with a delicate yet deep flavor profile.

It is characterized by pure, vibrant acidity that bursts in the mouth like Japanese plum.

Furthermore, it is easy to pair with everyday home-cooked dishes and is said to complement meals wonderfully from aperitif to after dinner.

It is recommended with hot pot dishes in the winter, and as the weather warms up, it is also great as a bottle for an early apéro.

It is a bottle that can be savored as you please in a variety of settings.

A must-check Pinot!

"pinot noir2022, Blanc de Noir" will be on pre-sale within Hokkaido.

It is scheduled to be sold in limited quantities on their own online shop.

The first round of sales will be limited to 7 days, from January 30 to February 5, but will end as soon as the planned number of bottles sells out.

As this is a winery with great expectations for future success, why not check it out now?
