"Kobe Wine" made with 100% grapes grown in Kobe!
Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. will release two types of 2026 nouveau and two types of grape juice from its "Kobe Wine" brand, made using 100% Kobe-grown grapes, starting Friday, October 23, 2026, at liquor stores and restaurants nationwide.
Blessed with favorable weather this year, they were reportedly able to harvest sound, healthy grapes.
About this year's winemaking
According to "Kobe Wine," the introduction of new brewing equipment this year, such as wine fermentation tanks and refrigerated storage, has made it possible to maintain the freshness of grapes from harvest to brewing, vinify in small batches according to the characteristics of each grape variety and lot, and implement meticulous temperature control for each tank.
The nouveau has been crafted into a flavor that brings out the inherent individuality of the grape varieties even more.
These products are the first nouveau and grape juices to make use of this equipment, with the juice being 100% straight, non-concentrated juice with no added sugar, finished in a way that allows you to experience the fresh, concentrated flavor unique to freshly picked wine grapes.
