Shiojiri Farm Co., Ltd. changed its company name to "Kikyogahara Wine Co., Ltd." on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Along with this, its existing wine brand "Domaine Soulié" was rebranded to "Kikyogahara Wine."
Furthermore, the former bakery attached to the winery has been renovated, reportedly establishing a new tasting space utilizing old wood from Shinshu.
From "Domaine Soulié" to "Kikyogahara Wine"
Kikyogahara in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, is a wine-growing region with a history of cultivating wine grapes such as Niagara, Concord, and Merlot.
Under the "Domaine Soulié" name, the company has engaged closely with grapes grown in this land and continued its winemaking.
From November 1, 2026, both the company name and brand name have transitioned to "Kikyogahara Wine."
By bearing the name of the production region, they plan to express and convey the appeal of Kikyogahara's terroir more than ever before.
A New Tasting Space
The bakery attached to the winery closed its doors in June 2026.
The shop space was renovated and reborn as a tasting space where visitors can casually enjoy Kikyogahara Wine's offerings.
The interior was designed by Sansuisha Co., Ltd., based in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, a company engaged in renovating traditional Japanese folk houses (kominka) and creating store spaces using old wood; reclaimed wood salvaged from old folk houses across the Chushin region—including Shiojiri, Matsumoto, Azumino, Kiso, and Omachi—has been abundantly used for this new space as well.
The lineup is diverse, ranging from a complimentary glass to a tasting flight of five varieties.
Why not pay a visit for the grand opening on Monday, November 16?
