Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel will hold “KARUIZAWA asamariage” from Friday, February 21 through Saturday, March 15, 2025.
The hotel is collaborating for the first time with Karuizawa Winery, the town’s first winery, offering a pairing dinner and winery tour for a special food-and-wine experience.

About KARUIZAWA asamariage
The event marks the first collaboration between Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel and Karuizawa Winery.
At the hotel, Executive Chef Yuma Aoki will serve a pairing dinner called “ANNE,” inspired by Anne of Green Gables, the classic novel that also inspired the winery’s name.
The menu begins with an amuse-bouche using mussels, a specialty of Prince Edward Island, where the novel is set. It also includes a salad inspired by Anne’s jam-making scene and Nagano-grown rhubarb, along with other creative French dishes based on the story.
The cuisine is designed to harmonize with and enhance wines from Karuizawa Winery, including ASAMA Pinot Noir 2023.
Winery Tour
On the final day, Saturday, March 15, hotel guests can join a special tour of Karuizawa Winery, which occupies a former church. The tour includes tastings and a discussion of the producer’s work toward creating a “legendary Karuizawa wine.”
