About the "Wine Course Learned from Winemakers"

"Wine Course Learned from Winemakers" is a wine course for adults hosted by Tokyo Biotechnology College.

This program started in 2023, making this its second year.

Under the guidance of an oenologist (Certified Winemaking Technology Manager), the "Wine Course Learned from Winemakers" is a study course that deepens winemaking techniques through trial production of red and white wines, expanding knowledge not from wine etiquette, but from "quality and flavor."

It is also known as a recommended course for taking the next step as a sommelier or wine expert, with members of the Japan Sommelier Association among its attendees.

Course Overview

In this course, one bottle (720ml) each of the brewed red and white wines will be preserved, allowing participants to expand their knowledge up to the changes brought by aging through tastings.

Here are the key points of the course.

・As an intensive short-term course, advanced content can be learned efficiently. (7 sessions in total)
・Enjoy wine tastings through lectures and tasting sessions that explore the winemakers' dedication.
・Learn everything from basic wine knowledge to manufacturing methods through hands-on brewing courses (trial production).

A chance to learn about wine from winemakers active in real winemaking settings.
