Memuro Winery Co., Ltd., located in Memuro Town, Kasai District, Hokkaido, was granted a liquor manufacturing license on October 1, 2020, and began brewing fruit wine (wine) at its own winery.
The winery is offering an exclusive advance sale of grower-specific "single-vineyard wines" and more on the crowdfunding support platform "Makuake".
These are special wines that are limited in quantity, labeled with limited serial numbers, and available purely through this advance sale.
Wines Filled with the Dreams of Farmers!

The winery describes the wines being released this time as "wines filled with the dreams of farmers."
For the red wines, all processes—receiving, sorting, maceration/fermentation, and aging—are carried out separately by each grape vineyard, resulting in "single-vineyard wines."
A total of eight red wines are being offered: four "Yamasachi" labels (from four growers) and four "Kiyomai" labels (from four growers). Despite being from the same grape varieties, the same town, and produced with the same methods, they are said to be uniquely crafted so that the distinct individuality of each can be appreciated.
Furthermore, they feature the special distinction of using new barrels from Seguin Moreau, the venerable French cooperage.
The gorgeous oak aroma, which can only be experienced through aging in brand-new barrels, is also noted as an attractive feature.
A 100% "Kiyomi" Rosé Wine Is Also Released!

While the winery had previously released only red wines through custom crush contracts in 2018 and 2019, this time it is releasing its first attempt at a rosé wine.
It is an extremely luxurious rosé wine finished through in-house vinification using 100% rare "Kiyomi".
"Kanaeru Rosé," made from 100% Memuro-grown Kiyomi, is characterized by its aromatic profile, solid acidity, and light body with a pleasant aftertaste.
For rosé wine lovers, this is definitely a bottle you will want to check out.
"Daichi no Josho" Appears as a Long-Aged Wine

In 2019, before the winery was constructed.
"Daichi no Josho (54% Yamasachi, 46% Kiyomai)" was also sold, made from "Yamasachi" and "Kiyomai" harvested in Memuro Town and vinified at Tokachi Wine.
Released in limited quantities, the wine sold out immediately.
Now, that "Daichi no Josho" is being released as a long-aged wine.
It is a full-bodied red wine offering the rich barrel aroma unique to wines aged in wooden casks for about 12 months.
Bottling was of course carried out at "Memuro Winery," making it an extremely rare red wine.
A Chance to Obtain Precious Japanese Wine!

According to the winery, an initiative like this is very rare even among wineries in Japan.
They express their strong desire for people to try it, as they focus not only on yield but also on pursuing grape flavor and quality, bringing out the distinct character of the raw ingredients, and creating wines that meet drinkers' expectations.
This project, which began to take on the challenge of cultivating European wine grape varieties—said to be extremely difficult east of the Hidaka Mountains in Hokkaido—and to create a local culture of winemaking to pass down to the future, can be viewed in detail on the crowdfunding support site "Makuake".
