About Izu Nouveau 2024
For Izu Nouveau 2024, two types—red and white—will make their appearance.
The red wine uses "Yama Sauvignon," a cross between wild grape (yamabudo) and Cabernet Sauvignon harvested in late September.
The white wine is made from "Shinano Riesling" harvested in late August and fermented with natural yeast.
This year, the red is an easy-drinking nouveau with a bright ruby color, fruity profile, and slightly sweet taste.
The white features a refreshing sweet aroma reminiscent of white peach and crisp acidity, crafted into a slightly dry style.
About Events Accompanying the Izu Nouveau Release
Naka-Izu Winery Chateau T.S will also hold events to celebrate the release of "Izu Nouveau 2024."
On Sunday (national holiday), November 3 at 11:00, the "Izu Nouveau 2024 Release Ceremony and Complimentary Wine Service" will be held on the 2nd-floor terrace of Naka-Izu Winery Chateau T.S. On the same day at the "Wine Garden," programs will be available where guests can enjoy free-flowing (all-you-can-drink) or single-glass tastings of eight types of wine, including "Izu Nouveau."
In addition, there will be plenty of delightful programs, such as the "Winemaker Tour & Barrel Cellar Tasting by the Winemaker" and pairings with the "Restaurant Special À la Carte 'Ceviche.'"
