"Ishi ni Hana Saku", a contemporary Thai restaurant focusing on Japanese wine! New autumn courses start September 26!

"Ishi ni Hana Saku" is a contemporary Thai restaurant that opened on August 15, 2022, in Nishi-Azabu, Minato Ward.

It is currently making headlines as a unique venue where you can enjoy pairings of Japanese wine and Thai cuisine.

New courses will also be introduced starting Monday, September 26.

Here are the details.

About "Ishi ni Hana Saku"

"Ishi ni Hana Saku" is a contemporary Thai restaurant located in Nishi-Azabu, Minato Ward, serving creative and original Thai cuisine.

In March 2018, chef Hiroyuki Onitsuka opened "Phuket Oriental Hibiya" on the 2nd floor of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya to promote Thai cuisine across Japan.

In 2022, as a further venture into Thai cuisine, he opened "Ishi ni Hana Saku" in Nishi-Azabu, offering high-end Thai dining.

It is an unprecedented Thai restaurant committed not only to seasonal domestic ingredients, but also to Japanese wine.

About the Japanese Wine

What the restaurant is particularly dedicated to is Japanese wine.

The Japanese wines served across the solid-wood bar counter are strictly those that have satisfied the chef, sourced directly from producers all over Japan.

Furthermore, beyond Japanese wine, the restaurant's dedication extends to sourcing everything from Japan, including domestic craft beers and non-alcoholic beverages.

The new courses starting on Monday, September 26, consist of three courses where you can savor the flavors of autumn.

While remaining faithful to the basics without straying from Thai culinary traditions, they hope guests will enjoy pairing Japanese wine with dishes whose umami is maximized through delicious Japanese ingredients and fermentation techniques.

Pursuing the Possibilities of Japanese Wine

It is often said that Japanese wine is easier to pair with food compared to wines produced abroad.

However, few people have likely experienced its compatibility with Thai cuisine.

Why not pay a visit to experience the superb pairing orchestrated by Japanese wine and special Thai cuisine that can only be enjoyed this autumn?
