Let us introduce the award received by "Ichinokura Sparkling Junmai Sake," a sparkling sake that is also attracting attention from Japanese wine fans.

About the Feminalise World Wine Competition

The Feminalise World Wine Competition is an international wine competition held in France, judged exclusively by female wine professionals.

At the recently held "16th Feminalise World Wine Competition 2022," "Ichinokura Sparkling Junmai Sake," brewed by Ichinokura Co., Ltd., was awarded a Gold Medal in the Sake / Sparkling Sake Category.

About "Ichinokura Sparkling Junmai Sake"

"Ichinokura Sparkling Junmai Sake" is a lightly cloudy sparkling sake whose gentle, fine effervescence produced by secondary fermentation in the bottle delivers a pleasant sensation on the palate.

Its flavor profile is said to feature the following characteristics:

14% Alcohol Content

Designed with an alcohol content about 1% lower than typical sake.

While expressing a light mouthfeel, it offers plenty of satisfying substance.

Tokubetsu Junmai Sake

The base is a Tokubetsu Junmai sake with a 55% rice-polishing ratio, made entirely from rice grown in Miyagi Prefecture.

Brewed using the three-stage mashing method (sandan-jikomi), it combines solid umami and volume with a pleasant, subtle bitterness; its light cloudiness creates an exceptionally silky texture and a refreshing appearance.

Brewed with White Koji

While sake brewing typically uses yellow koji, using white koji expresses crisp acidity and a clean finish derived from citric acid.

Its fruity aroma also imparts a light, refreshing sensation.

Cheers with an Alluring Sake!

Combining the essential qualities of sake with the refreshing crispness of sparkling beverages, "Sparkling Junmai Sake" truly offers the best of both worlds.

Whether you are a sake fan or not, why not enjoy this globally recognized sparkling sake?
