Since July 2021, "UNWIND HOTEL & BAR Otaru" has been regularly hosting "Taste of Hokkaido UNWIND," a wine event focusing on the charms of Hokkaido wine—including those from Yoichi and Niki—by inviting winemakers and sommeliers.
With this renewal, course dinners will be offered bringing together dishes that pair exceptionally well with the wines that received acclaim from participants at previous events.

The centerpiece of this dinner course lineup is the "'Taste of Hokkaido' Pairing Course," which luxuriously selects three kinds of Hokkaido wine carefully chosen by wine-knowledgeable staff along with exquisite specialties crafted by the chef.
The cuisine is reportedly a 7-course meal of original dishes devised by the chef specifically to pair with the wines, abundantly using seafood from the waters near Otaru and seasonal ingredients sourced from across Hokkaido.
Furthermore, the standard "UNWIND Cuisine Course" and the "Anniversary Course" designed to celebrate special occasions like birthdays have also been further refined and updated.
Courses are prepared allowing guests to thoroughly savor not only Hokkaido wine, but also the abundant appeal of Hokkaido itself.

Incidentally, on Thursday, April 21, the "'Taste of Hokkaido UNWIND Otaru Wine & Cuisine' Vol. 8 ~Endo Selection Wine Dinner~" is scheduled to be held.
It will be an event featuring wines selected by Yukio Endo of "Marui Endo Shoten," a local liquor shop that has handled wines of the Otaru area with great love for many years, under the theme "Visiting the World's Cool Climate Regions."
