Here are the details.
About "HAMANASHI HOUSEBOAT"
"HAMANASHI HOUSEBOAT" is a floating restaurant themed around "Yamanashi Local Gastronomy & Art," created through a collaboration between Daisuke Miyashita of "Kafuka Tokyo" and chefs based around Lake Kawaguchi and the northern foothills of Mt. Fuji.
Renovating the only houseboat on Lake Kawaguchi, it offers a twilight cruising tour where guests can savor a premium dinner while cruising the tranquil lake at dusk.
Pairings with Japanese Wine Too!
The restaurant serves a premium dinner brimming with the charms of Yamanashi Prefecture, crafted by chefs based around Lake Kawaguchi, led by Chef Kohei Horiuchi from Fujiyoshida City, who won the Grand Prix at "RED U-35," one of Japan's largest culinary competitions, and advocates for Mt. Fuji Northern Foothills Cuisine.
Furthermore, the wine pairings supervised by Chef Horiuchi's older brother, sommelier Shigekazu Horiuchi, widely introduce the prefecture's wineries and winemakers, and reportedly also feature rare vintage wines seldom seen on the market.
Incidentally, during a monitor event held this month for affluent international travelers, it was praised with comments such as, "It completely changed my image of Japanese wine 180 degrees."
As evening activity programs are scarce around Lake Kawaguchi, the restaurant aims to showcase the region's appeal by collaborating with local accommodations, important cultural properties, wineries in the prefecture, and more.
