Three Grande Polaire Products Receive Marriage Certification with Hokkaido Ingredients!

Three products from the Japanese wine brand "Grande Polaire"—"Yoichi Zweigeltrebe," "Grande Polaire Yoichi Kerner," and "Grande Polaire Yoichi Müller-Thurgau"—have received marriage certification with Hokkaido ingredients.

Here are the details.

About the Marriage Certification

"Grande Polaire" is Sapporo Breweries' Japanese wine brand.

This time, the Japanese wine brand's "Yoichi Zweigeltrebe," "Grande Polaire Yoichi Kerner," and "Grande Polaire Yoichi Müller-Thurgau" received marriage certification with Hokkaido ingredients from the Hokkaido Heritage Jingisukan Support Team, the Hokkaido Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Associations, and the Hokkaido Milk Promotion Association.

Details of the Certification

In this certification, pairings between Hokkaido ingredients and Grande Polaire products made from Hokkaido-grown grapes were examined.

The respective organizations certified that Jingisukan (Hokkaido Heritage Jingisukan Support Team) is optimal for "Grande Polaire Yoichi Zweigeltrebe," Hokkaido octopus and scallops (Hokkaido Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Associations) for "Grande Polaire Yoichi Kerner," and Hokkaido cheese (Hokkaido Milk Promotion Association) for "Grande Polaire Yoichi Müller-Thurgau."

Here are the details regarding the pairings.

1. Grande Polaire Yoichi Zweigeltrebe × Jingisukan

The wild flavor of lamb pairs well with the spiciness and gentle astringency of Zweigeltrebe, while the sweetness of the sauce matches wonderfully with the wine's fruitiness.

2. Grande Polaire Yoichi Kerner × Hokkaido Octopus

The salty flavor of the octopus and the sweetness and acidity of Kerner enhance each other's tastes, and the chewy texture of the octopus also goes well with the taut profile of Kerner.

3. Grande Polaire Yoichi Kerner × Hokkaido Scallops

The sweetness of the scallops layers with the subtle sweetness of Kerner, and adding acidity, such as serving as carpaccio, creates an even greater pairing.

4. Grande Polaire Yoichi Müller-Thurgau × Hokkaido Cheese

The saltiness of the cheese highlights the refined sweetness of Müller-Thurgau, creating a delicious sensation akin to drizzling honey.

Please use these as references for your pairings.
