On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Chuo Budoshu Co., Ltd., known for its GRACE WINE brand, will release "Misawa Koshu 2020."
"Misawa Koshu 2020" is the newly renamed and upgraded version of "Cuvée Misawa Akeno Koshu," carrying even greater potential.
Here, we introduce what kind of wine it has become.
About "Misawa Koshu 2020"

"Misawa Koshu 2020" is crafted using indigenous vineyard yeasts from low-yield Koshu grapes grown at the winery's own "Misawa Farm" in Akeno-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
It is said to offer a one-of-a-kind flavor profile, having naturally undergone malolactic fermentation, which is rare for Koshu.
Winemaker Ayana Misawa commented, "The birth of 'Misawa Koshu' sets itself apart from conventional Koshu, respecting regional characteristics."
It has become a new Koshu wine that could only have been created by Chuo Budoshu.
Tasting Notes for "Misawa Koshu 2020"

Here are the tasting notes for "Misawa Koshu 2020."
Lemon-yellow appearance.
Aromas of fresh fruits such as white peach, pear, and apple subtly yet complexly meld with spices of white pepper and clove, floral scents of jasmine and honeysuckle, and sweet aromas of caramel.
The palate feels smooth with expanding volume, and acidity infused with umami tightens the flavor. It leaves a clean finish free of off-flavors.
A dignified strength is felt amidst the delicacy, making it a new style of Koshu whose future evolution through aging is something to look forward to.
An appealing Koshu with promising aging potential.
Let us look forward to seeing what kind of acclaim it receives in the future.
