About “Good JAPAN: Summer Feast — Kagoshima Eel and Japanese Wine”
Good JAPAN is a Royal Host initiative built around the theme of enjoying the blessings of Japan and domestically produced ingredients. It supports domestic producers and consumption while serving dishes that make the most of each ingredient's character.
This summer edition brings together Japanese ingredients, Royal Host's Western-style cuisine, and Japanese wine.
Program Details
For the first time in the campaign, Royal Host will feature dishes centered on eel, a classic Japanese summer ingredient.
The menu proposes several new ways to enjoy eel, from a pilaf-style dish combining eel with U.S. Angus sirloin steak to side dishes such as omelets and canapés designed to pair with alcoholic drinks.
The wine selection includes Château Mercian's refreshing and light “Yamanashi Koshu” white wine and the light, fresh-aromatic red “Yamanashi Muscat Bailey A.” Spritzer and Spritzer Rouge versions, mixed respectively with lemon and soda, will also be offered.
Both spritzers are made with Château Mercian wines.
